A milestone for Knoop BV! Our first experience with anchoring systems

We were allowed to be part of an impressive operation in which 72,000 solar panels were installed on no less than 20 hectares of water surface. A project that was not only technically challenging, but also a big step in the world of floating structures for us.

To guarantee the stability of the solar park, we developed a tailor-made anchoring solution. We have placed the anchors at different depths with precision, using advanced GPS technology. In addition, we performed various tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the anchoring system. Thanks to our flexible approach and innovative equipment solutions, we were able to provide our customer with the best possible service.

This project marked our first experience with anchoring systems. Thanks to our innovative ideas and solutions in the nature restoration work and dredging industry, we were asked to think of a solution regarding anchoring a floating solar park. A special application at first point of view, since we had no previous experience with this. But we looked at the possibilities and took up the challenge. After a lot of thinking and drawing work, a plan has arisen how we could best place the anchors for this project.

This new experience opened up new possibilities to put extra strength behind our mission and vision. Further development for a better living environment for humans, animals and plants. Only now also in the direction of generating green energy.
