Project description
We were approached to contribute to a project in a location where virtually no other machine was available. The terrain was extremely wet, preventing the standard excavators from functioning. This was a major problem, because the installation of sheet piling was necessary. Placing sheet piling is a crucial step in ensuring the stability and safety of local water management.
That is precisely why we chose to use our Waterking WK95 NG-A. This amphibious excavator is specially designed to operate in swampy, difficult to pass areas. Thanks to the unique chassis, which has been developed in-house, the WK95 NG-A can function in places where other machines have to stop working. The low ground pressure exerted by the chassis prevents subsidence and minimizes damage to nature.
For this specific assignment, the machine was equipped with a vibration block, attached to the boom of the WK95 NG-A. This made it possible to vibrate sheet piling firmly and efficiently in the soil, despite the challenging conditions. The vibration technique ensures stable and accurate placement, essential for the functioning of the sheet piling.
Sheet piling is an important part of Dutch water management. Among other things, they ensure the stability of quays, banks and dikes. By preventing collapse and erosion of the bank, they not only protect the immediate environment, but also contribute to the long-term safety of the landscape.
Thanks to our specialized machines and experienced professionals, this project was successfully carried out, exactly where it normally seems impossible to work.
We also supply custom solutions that make a difference in the most challenging circumstances.
