14 October 2024 – 11.15 AM:

Peter Brand: “Do you currently have a DOP pump, a poker pack, floating pipes, a net pump and two different suction heads available?”
“Oh yes, and some good lads to get everything up and running… right now?”

Jakob Knoop: “That can be arranged”

We have been asked to provide additional equipment, expertise and manpower to support the salvage operation for the cargo ship ‘Humadivi’, which ran into difficulties on Saturday 12 October 2024 due to strong currents on the River Maas and had drifted into the Borgharen weir.

By 3 pm on the same day the request was made, we already had the first lorries heading for the Borgharen weir. Our team were also on site that very evening to get everything up and running. There was no time to lose.

Tijdens deze intensieve dagen en nachten, konden wij ons deel leveren door het zand uit het schip te pompen met onze Damen 200 DOP set. Het doel hiervan was om het schip lichter te maken, zodat verplaatsing mogelijk zou worden.

After several intense days and nights, the vessel has been raised from the water, shipping traffic has resumed, and our team are back. We are grateful to have been able to make a valuable contribution to this salvage operation in Borgharen. Thank you to Paans Van Oord bv for the excellent cooperation.
