Innovative anchoring technique
In Kloosterhaar, we carried out the anchoring of an impressive floating solar farm comprising approximately 40,000 solar panels on a sand extraction lake. For this project, we developed a bespoke solution in which ground anchors provide durable and reliable anchoring without putting strain on or damaging the banks. The structure is designed to withstand the forces of wind, waves and fluctuating water levels, ensuring that the solar farm remains securely in place under all conditions. Each anchor installed is designed to withstand a load of 10 tonnes. As such, the anchoring system offers sufficient capacity for the relatively heavy floating solar farm systems currently in use on the market.
Projects such as these have made a significant contribution to the development of our anchoring technology. In the early years of anchoring, we gained a great deal of knowledge and practical experience. These experiences formed the basis for the further development of our solutions. Not only has our equipment been refined over the years, but so too have the design of the anchors, the calculation methods and the installation techniques. By continually learning from challenging projects, we have further optimised our working methods and enhanced the reliability and efficiency of our anchoring systems.
In addition to technical performance, sustainability was also a key consideration. The client deliberately opted for a solution that takes people, animals and nature into account. As the solar park has been built on the water, valuable agricultural land remains available for other uses. Furthermore, the structure provides sheltered areas for fish and other aquatic life, whilst the renewable energy generated contributes to a future-proof energy supply for the local area.
This project illustrates how innovative anchoring technology, years of practical experience and ongoing product development come together to create a sustainable and reliable solution. The knowledge gained during projects such as this continues to form the basis for the further development of our anchoring systems.
