Floating solar farm Tynaarlo

Park expanded in 2020 generates electricity for 1,500 households

Project Overview

Verankeringssystemen - Verankeringssysteem - Zicht: voltooid drijvend zonnepark

Project Description

In 2020 we were asked to anchor an addition to an existing floating solar park in Tynaarlo. This floating solar park was already equipped with 23,000 solar panels. And another 16,000 solar panels were added for the expansion. This made this floating solar park one of the largest in all of Europe.

This project brought additional challenges through several factors. The new part of the floating solar park had to connect seamlessly to the existing part of the park. Furthermore, the soil conditions were not entirely ideal for working with.

These challenges meant that we had to look in new ways. And thanks to our innovation and expertise, we were able to anticipate these challenges. In this way we realized a solution specially tailor-made.

We chose special flip anchors. This type of anchors made it possible that we did not have to attach the park to the bank. In this way we prevent damage to nature around the park and we preserve the natural landscape.

With a combination of wear-resistant rope and flexible lines, we have ensured a strong, but moving anchorage, resistant to all types of weather conditions.

Thanks to innovative solutions and accurate implementation, the park has been successfully expanded and ready for the future.
